I stumbled upon this recipe looking for a hot cocoa recipe. It is Hershey’s recipe and it is so wonderful, hot or cold! I love it warm and could easily eat the entire pot.
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup Hershey’s Cocoa powder
3 Tbs corn starch
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups milk
2 Tbs butter
Mix sugar, cocoa, corn starch, and salt together in a pot. Stir in milk slowly. Cook over medium heat until it boils stirring constantly. Let it boil 1 minute while stirring. Remove from stove, stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into serving dishes. I let mine cool before putting it in the fridge. Place plastic wrap directly on top of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
I have made this several times and love it! I will never buy store bought pudding again!
