Falling Like Snowflakes

I can always judge a book by how many days it takes me to read it. A really wonderful piece of fiction I can devour in just a few short days. Denise Hunter’s new book, Falling Like Snowflakes took only two days to finish because I simply could not put it down.

Falling Like Snowflakes is the first book in Hunter’s Summer Harbor Series. This novel follows the story of Eden Martelli who is on the run in a less the road worthy mini van with her son Micah. She becomes stranded in a small town, Summer Harbor, and is desperate for help. Eden finds it in the Callahan family. While she is desperate for assistance, she is guarded and ready to move on in an instant if necessary. The love of the Callahan family draws her in and the rest….you will have to read. This a love story full of hope and excitement. There are some tense moments, but nothing that will keep you up at night.

What I love the most about Denise Hunter’s books, is that she typically follows a family or people in the same community over the course of a series. Everyone is connected and you get to see old friends in new books. I am excited to read the next book in this series. I also loved Hunter’s Chapel Springs series, specifically Dancing with Butterflies and Married till Monday. You can see all of Denise Hunter’s fabulous books on her website.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book to review in exchange for my honest options. I have not been compensated in any way and all opinions are my own.

Book Review, Denise Hunter, Married 'till Monday

Married til Monday

About the Book!

Ryan McKinley has tried to move on from his ex-wife, Abby. He’s sulked, he’s gotten angry, and ultimately he bought her dream house. Big mistake. Living alone in the massive 2-story has only made him miss her more. When her parents call him out of the blue about their anniversary party in Summer Harbor, Maine, Ryan believes God has dropped a golden opportunity straight in his lap.

Abby McKinley never exactly told her parents about the divorce. A strained relationship with her dad has culminated in a distant relationship with her parents, but she’s finally succumbed to her mom’s pressure to make the drive for their 35th-anniversary party.

Then Ryan shows up on her doorstep, looking as devastatingly handsome as ever. When he insists he’s going to Seabrook, with or without her, Abby knows she can’t say no. Her parents still think they’re married and now Ryan knows it too. Besides, he only wants to check in with his best friend from college-her cousin Beau, who just lost his dad. It’s just a one-week road-trip with the man who broke her heart. What could possibly go wrong?

My Review!

I absolutely loved this book!!! My husband and I are on a cross-country trip so I have much time in the car to pass. I easily read Married ‘till Monday in just a few hours. Denise Hunter is a gifted storyteller and I never miss a chance to read one of her books. They are always a guaranteed good read. This title was no exception.

Married ‘till Monday is the last book in author Denise Hunter’s Chapel Springs Romance Series. I have only read one other book in the series, but I did not feel lost at all in this story. In fact, I am anxious to go back and read the other books I have missed because this one was so good. In Married ‘till Monday, Denise Hunter does a magnificent job of writing relationship and emotion. Her characters, Ryan and Abby, spend a great amount of page time together. I love the way she brought the characters along in a believable and interesting story that left me unable to put this book down! This is the perfect summer read. Five stars from this book blogger!

A Chapel Springs Romance, Dancing with Fireflies, Denise Hunter

Dancing with FirefliesI was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. I first fell in love with Denise Hunter’s novels when I read Sweetwater Gap. I never forget a book I truly enjoy, and I will not be forgetting this lovely read.

In Dancing with Fireflies, Jade Mckinley finds herself in a heartbreaking situation. She is forced by her circumstances to return to her home town and family. When she arrives home she finds her greatest help in a family friend, Daniel Dawson. What Jade doesn’t know is the love Daniel has had for Jade for many years. Daniel comes to Jade’s aid in so many ways. I cheered for them, I hoped for them, and I even cried a little!

Denise Hunter did a magnificent job weaving together this truly delightful love story. Once I began reading, I was anxious to keep reading. I forfeited sleep for this one! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good, memorable, read it again and again love story. I was given a free copy of this book by BookLook Bloggers in exchange for an honest review. I have received no compensation other than the joy of a great read. All opinions are my own.
